1 DEAD AND 1 INJURED AT SHOOTING INCIDENT IN LUKE AIR FORCE BASE

a shooting and fatal car crash occured on Luke Air Force Base in Litchfield, Arizona leaving one person dead and another injured.

According to Officer Karen Gerardo, public information officer at the Glandale Police Department, the incident started when two men who were found inside a previously reported stolen car. the two men ran the said vehicle towards the entrance gate of the main base.

Security forces officer who tried to confront the two men, was hit by the car as they drove it directly at him. the officer then shot the car which later on crashed.

One of the two men inside the car was killed although the cause has not yet been determined. the other however was left injured. these two are not suspected of terrorism and was said to be just regular car thieves.

the said base where the incident happened is trains pilots to fly F-16s.
